Week In Review

Been busy with revision classes better known as EDC as they call it in Sunway. Mock was before the EDC and I did it without proper preparation. Just did it for the sake of doing it. Even left early for P2 mock cause was not feeling well and was starving. The exam was right after a whole day class. Of course I needed to eat. And I didn't know what I was reading!

As I was saying I didn't have time for practically anything else cause the EDCs were from morning to dinner time and then another day the next day for four consecutive days. But P3 was somewhat alright compared to P2. I have no idea why. I had more nodding offs in the latter. Maybe because Question 1 required workings on 3 whiteboards. Or maybe because P3 was interesting and Mr Marcus cracked jokes. Ms Menon was stricter and pushy, in a good way. She wants us to be on top of things. I understood but I couldn't really take it.

Before the P3 EDC began, I had the weekend off to take some rest from the exhausting P2. Oh the last day of P2 Irman took Lily and I to Kenny Roger's for dinner. I somehow found Irman's dish funny. It's the first time I saw someone ordering mash potato for all 3 selection of side dish. My sis came during the weekend for her P6 EDC. She took my cousin and I for dinner at this teo chew porridge restaurant. We were both feeling under the weather so porridge was the way to go. But I ate rice neways. It was nice. Anything not from the poolside cafe is nice. Sunday, she took me to Sakae Sushi. Not a fan of Japanese food but it was alright. Thank you!

We had class in Audi 7 on Monday. It was the biggest lecture hall in Sunway. I brought my lappy to type out the answers he gave. I'll die if I copy and I'll write rubbish in a sleepy state. There was wireless internet connection so I used it to download some stuff and searched for terminologies we weren't sure of. But I was listening to him in class ok. The seats were of sofa but a little uncomfortable according to some friends. Table was low so sitting for long hours can cause backache they say.

Second day was in the Multi Purpose Hall! It's like the admin staff ran out of venues and had to put us in the hall! Last year we had 2.4 EDC in the MPH as well. It wasn't a very conducive place to listen to lectures but at least we had our own tables and chairs. But was kind of hilarious. Managing director of SunwayTES, Mr Teo came to give us evaluation forms to evaluate the lecturers. I gave points just as I felt and added some comments. He also told us of the possibility of working for a small accounting firm in London upon graduation, causing a buzz among us. It was however relevant to the final sem students only. Nevertheless, it got us pretty much excited with yet another opportunity that's waiting. I thought of a friend who might be interested when I heard that. I myself am interested but again it's a bit too early to say. Get done with the exams first, talk later.

The following 2 days were back to Lecture Theatre 8. Sat quite near to the front cause was in need of the electric plug. Was paying full attention on Wed. Don't know why. I always have this 'start to appreciate the lecturer when the sem is drawing to an end' feeling. I guess you'll start to appreciate something when you know you're not going to have them anymore.

Yesterday was the last P3 class. Was sleepy and blur at times. But was still listening to him most of the time. It's like in P2, I'm hearing. Get the difference? Anyways, Mr Marcus, I know you've been trying to make the class as interesting as possible at the same time wanting all of us to pass. I hope I won't disappoint you. Thanks a lot!

After class, we went to celebrate Michelle's birthday. It was the second time I'm celebrating with my friends for her. Last year was in Luna Bar, also after 2.4 EDC. Already another year. Yikes! Guess where we went? Yes. It's TGI Friday's in Pyramid. If we were to go to the city, we'll be caught in the blardy jam. (Sorry for pushing u Bryan! Guess I was the only one at the back who wanted to be seen lol) Celebrating your birthday in TGIF means a whole lot of craziness and noise by the TGIF people. They have traditions, made Michelle sang and Jeremy stood on the table to dance lol. Here's a Polaroid taken by the staff.

Did not know where to go after that. There were a few who wanted to watch The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian but a movie was not what most of us wanted after a 9 hour class. We went to check out Coco Banana, a new club in Pyramid. It was coincidentally the opening. So we just walked in without having to pay cover charge. Apparently there were free food and drinks from 7-9. We obviously had no idea. We went into the mainroom. The other room was like for senior people. Could see from the people and the music. But some of them were also in the mainroom. It was crowded of course. One side of the wall had this huge L.E.D. display having colourful messages etc.

The place was average and was totally what's expected in the Sunway and Subang area: 'dodgy'. And I didin't say this. It was from an article from KLue I saw about a comment on whether the new Euphoria by Ministry of Sound in Sunway Resort Hotel can live up to its standards since Sunway was known for 'dodgy' clubs. Well just a thought. The gang had fun though. Think they were releasing stress. The girls. And a part of the group. We left shortly after around an hour. Exams were near and it was only right not to stay for so long lol. After a night out, it was back to reality.

Had a day off today and tomorrow will be going to the city for some extra classes. It is my own initiative as I've neglected paper P1. Later.
